Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Food Counter Attendant to join our team at Dairy Queen. As a key member of our food service team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a smooth and efficient food preparation and serving experience.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and package take-out food for customers
  • Portion and wrap food items to meet customer specifications
  • Prepare, heat, and finish simple food items to meet customer expectations
  • Serve customers at counters or buffet tables in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Stock refrigerators and salad bars to maintain a clean and organized workspace
  • Take customers' orders and respond to their needs in a timely and professional manner
  • Use manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice, and trim foodstuffs to meet quality standards
  • Clean and sanitize kitchen areas, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment
  • Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas
  • Remove kitchen garbage and trash to maintain a clean and safe working environment
  • Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors to maintain a clean and organized workspace
Requirements
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lift heavy loads and stand for extended periods
  • Reliability and a strong work ethic
  • Ability to work as part of a team to achieve common goals
Working Conditions

This is a permanent, part-time position with 30 hours of work per week. The work language is English.
