SABI MIND INC is seeking a highly skilled Psychiatrist to join our clinical team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, evidence-based care to our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and develop treatment plans for clients with complex medical, psychological, or social needs.
- Collaborate with a broader team of physicians, psychologists, therapists, nurses, and administrative staff to ensure comprehensive care.
- Develop and implement treatment plans for clients with psychological, emotional, or behavioral issues.
- Provide education and guidance to clients on therapies provided, including possible side effects and intended outcomes.
- Ensure policies and procedures are applied and used effectively to support clients, co-clients, and staff safety.
- Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and share information to identify client strengths and concerns.
- Participate in research and contribute to the development of evidence-informed best practice guidelines.
- A Medical Degree and eligibility for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta.
- Specialist qualifications in Psychiatry from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Psychiatry and a valid license to practice medicine are required.
- Strong working knowledge of general psychiatric principles and practices.
- Ability to establish rapport with clients and gain their trust.
- Effective computer and electronic recording skills.
- Experience managing client flow and working in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team.
- Experience working to provide trauma-informed mental health care is considered an asset.
