CONTEXT:

The wayside team is globally responsible for linking Information technology (IT) with Operational Technology (OT), covering fleet management systems, maintenance systems, Passenger information systems, and everything related to fleet monitoring.

We are a small team that covers different technologies and solutions from different timeframes, requiring well-versed individuals who can be creative and not afraid of reverse engineering.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Working closely with the analysis and development teams to translate requirements into tests.
  • Develop, validate and execute test procedures for the validation of server-based software solutions.
  • Assist in the design, planning and execution of the test environment improvement.
  • Develop and maintain testing tools required for validation.

REQUIRED PROFILE:

  • Bachelor degree in software engineering, computer science, electronic or equivalent.
  • 2 to 6 years of relevant work experience.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Windows environment, deployment and configuration.
  • Understanding of Windows Services, IIS, Message Queues, would be an asset.
  • Proven previous experience of software programming in a professional environment, Python, SQL, C# would be an asset.
  • Knowledge of ethernet networks and protocols: Routing, Firewall, ICMP, TCP, HTTP, ...
  • Basic software testing automation, a first exposure or general understanding is an asset.
  • Basic Linux knowledge is an asset.
  • Professional French and English are required.
