Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Metal Fabrication Specialist to join our team at Norden Windows And Doors Ltd. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for fabricating and repairing metal parts and products using various welding techniques.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have experience with manual or semi-automatic welding equipment, as well as knowledge of blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals, and processes. You will work independently and as part of a team to meet production deadlines and ensure high-quality finished products.

Responsibilities
  • Welding Operations: Interpret welding process specifications, operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment, read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals, and processes, and examine welds to ensure they meet standards and/or specifications.
  • Metal Shaping and Bending: Operate brakes, shears, and other metal shaping, straightening, and bending machines to create custom metal parts.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing, and soldering equipment.
  • Hoisting and Lifting: Operate hoisting and lifting equipment safely and efficiently.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.
  • Experience: Experience in metal fabrication or a related field is an asset.
  • Skills and Qualifications: Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals, and processes; experience with welding equipment and metal shaping and bending machines; and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Work Environment

This is a permanent position working 40 hours per week. The language of work is English.

Compensation and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $65,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision coverage, as well as a retirement savings plan.
