Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Counting Specialist to join our team at CB Canada. This role is responsible for the accurate and secure handling of cash assets from the gaming floor, while promoting a safe and welcoming work environment.

About the Role

This position will involve counting bills, coins, and cash equivalents, as well as organizing and securing the storage of count carts, drop boxes, and other related items. The successful candidate will also be responsible for reporting suspect cash and cash equivalents, verifying and reconciling counts, and transporting secure bags containing large amounts of cash.

Key Responsibilities
  • Counting and Reconciliation: Accurately count bills, coins, and cash equivalents, and reconcile before and after counts to ensure accuracy and security.
  • Cash Storage and Security: Organize and secure the storage of count carts, drop boxes, and bill cartridges for count pulls, ensuring that all equipment is in good working condition.
  • Reporting and Communication: Report any suspect cash or cash equivalents to management, and communicate effectively with operational departments to ensure seamless operations.
Requirements and Qualifications

To be considered for this role, applicants must have a High School Diploma and a minimum of 1 year of experience in high-volume cash handling and counting. They must also possess excellent communication skills, be able to work independently, and be comfortable with non-traditional work hours.

Work Environment Considerations

This role involves working in a back office environment, often standing or sitting for long periods of time. Applicants should be physically fit and able to lift up to 25 pounds (11 kg).

Estimated Salary Range

The estimated salary range for this role is between $50,000 and $70,000 per annum, based on industry standards and location. However, actual salaries may vary depending on individual qualifications and experience.
