At METRO XPRESS INC, we are seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our heavy-duty equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions, using computerized and other testing equipment to determine the extent of repair required.
  • Test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that work meets manufacturers' specifications.
  • Clean, lubricate, and perform other maintenance work to prevent equipment failure.
  • Perform repair work on heavy trucks, including adjusting, repairing, or replacing parts and components of automotive systems.
  • Advise customers on work performed and future repair requirements, providing excellent customer service.
  • Complete reports to record problems and work performed, ensuring accurate and detailed documentation.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers and colleagues.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on attention to detail and quality of work.
