About the Job

This position involves working as a Forensic Accountant (Loss Quantification) in the Claims department of Intact Financial.

The role requires a combination of analytical and communication skills to effectively extract evidence from data and communicate results to customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and analyze financial documents to determine the validity of business interruption claims
  • Collaborate with claim adjusters to provide expert analysis and recommendations on loss quantification
  • Communicate with customers to obtain relevant documentation and explain the work done on their claim
  • Develop and maintain efficient workflows and processes to ensure timely resolution of files
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and regulatory changes affecting loss quantification

Requirements:

  • Graduate degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Professional certification as a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) with experience in forensic accounting
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role within a large organization
  • Familiarity with industry-specific software and tools used in loss quantification
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
