Family Physician

Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a skilled General Family Physician to join our team at the Raven Song Primary Care Clinic. As a General Family Physician, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of an inter-professional shared care team.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide direct clinical services to patients who present or are referred for their medical care.
- Work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to achieve excellence in client-centered care.
- Foster a collaborative inter-professional practice environment that enhances client-centered services within the associated clinics/sites/programs.
- Be responsible for providing team-based care along with an interdisciplinary team (NP/MD/RN/SW/allied health).
- Provide substance use services, assessments, supports, and opiate agonist treatment.
- Provide trauma-informed care to clients with multiple complex health care needs (HIV, Hep C, mental health/substance use) and psychosocial complexity.
- Work a predictable weekday schedule as well as participate in a call schedule which includes evening, weekend, and statutory holiday coverage.
- Provide outreach or home visits as needed within the interdisciplinary team.
- Provide learning opportunities and support for students/residents.
- Take part in quality improvement initiatives to improve client outcomes.
- Current College of Physicians of BC (CPSBC) – Full
- Canadian College of Family Practitioners (CCFP) – Mandatory or eligible
- Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) – Mandatory
- Eligibility for a faculty appointment with the University of British Columbia, School of Medicine is required.
- Current Opiate Agonist Treatment prescriber exemption is required or willingness to obtain an exemption.
