About the Role:

Johnson Controls is seeking a skilled HVAC Service Technician to join our team of experienced professionals. As a key member of our service team, you will play a critical role in maintaining customer relationships through exceptional service excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to Johnson Controls' industry-leading safety program to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Maintain customer relationships through proactive service and support.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on commercial HVAC systems.
  • Work with customers to identify and resolve service issues.
  • Perform tasks such as filter changes, oil and grease maintenance, and belt adjustments.
  • Conduct cooling tower and condenser maintenance, including coil cleaning and evaporator maintenance.
  • Perform general housekeeping tasks as required by customer contracts.
  • Operate mechanical equipment as needed, in accordance with customer contracts.
  • Transport rigging equipment to and from sites as required.

Requirements:

  • 5 years of experience in the HVAC service industry.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
  • Clean driver's abstract.
  • Ability to join UA-516 or be a member in good standing.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Commercial and industrial experience.
  • Knowledge of BACnet and Modbus communication protocols.
  • Previous technical/installation experience.
  • Chiller experience.

Compensation and Benefits:

Hourly rate of $51.81, determined by UA Local 516 CBA/rate sheet. Benefits are provided through the union, aligned with a collective bargaining agreement.
