Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced CNC Machining Specialist to join our team. As a CNC Machining Specialist, you will be responsible for determining machining strategies and generating CNC programs, machining setup sheets, and tool lists for multi-axis (3, 4 & 5 axis machines) machining systems.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the engineering and quality teams to review customer requirements and produce high-quality components
  • Determine machining strategies and generate CNC programs, machining setup sheets, and tool lists for multi-axis machining systems
  • Develop work-holding strategies and design fixtures for machining complex geometries
  • Assist the shop floor in adhering to AS91000 requirements with risk analysis and the Root Cause Corrective Action process
  • Maintain continuous process improvement to reduce cost, improve quality, and increase throughput

Requirements:

  • College diploma or engineering degree in a related technical discipline
  • Minimum five years of experience in a precision CNC machining environment
  • Minimum five years experience in multi-axis CNC programming
  • Expert level proficiency in Mastercam software
  • Demonstrated experience in reading and interpreting engineering drawings
  • Demonstrated experience in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
  • Demonstrated experience in developing work-holding strategies and fixture design
  • Experience with AS9100 requirements and principles is considered an asset
  • Knowledge of Metrology Software Product (MSP) is regarded as an asset
  • Hands-on experience with advanced CNC systems with Fanuc controls and Renishaw probing systems is considered an asset
  • Experience in the Aerospace and/or Space industries are viewed as an asset

Salary Range: $30-40/hr
