About Us

Alex Laundromat is a 24-hour coin laundry with three locations in the GTA, committed to providing an exceptional laundry experience for our customers. Our facilities are clean, well-maintained, and equipped with modern washers and dryers.

This role is perfect for individuals who possess extensive cleaning skills, have prior experience as a Laundry Attendant, and can provide excellent customer service. If you are reliable, punctual, friendly, and hardworking, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities:
  • Keep the Laundromat Clean: Ensure the premises are always spotless by wiping down surfaces, removing lint from dryer lint trays, and mopping floors and entrance mats.
  • Wash and Fold Drop Off Service: Assist customers with their Wash and Fold needs by accepting drop-offs, explaining pricing and procedures, sorting laundry by color and type, operating laundry machines, and folding and bagging items with precision.
  • Customer Service: Provide top-notch support to customers, answering questions, resolving issues, and ensuring a positive experience.
Requirements:
  • Previous Experience: Previous experience as a Laundry Attendant is a plus, but not necessary. A background in cleaning and laundry or a similar role is essential.
  • Laundry Techniques: Knowledge of laundry techniques, understanding of washer and dryer operation, and ability to properly handle different fabrics and types of items.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, walk up and down stairs with heavy loads (up to 25lbs), and maintain a high level of energy throughout your shift.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Strong English language skills and great customer service skills are required to effectively communicate with customers and colleagues.
Work Schedule:

We offer flexible scheduling options, including part-time and full-time positions. Our standard shifts are 10 hours long, from 9am to 7pm, with one day off on the weekend. Flexibility to cover shifts is highly valued.

Compensation:

The hourly rate starts at $17.20/hour, plus tips from the Wash and Fold service. We strive to provide a competitive compensation package to our employees.
