Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Handy Person to join our team at Elias Custom Metal Fabrication Limited. As a Handy Person, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks, making adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing and electrical systems, and contacting tradespersons for major repairs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including making adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing and electrical systems
  • Contact tradespersons for major repairs
  • Perform safety and security checks
  • Move heavy furniture, equipment and supplies
  • Perform other routine maintenance jobs such as painting and drywall repair
  • Work with minimal supervision
  • Utilize hand and power tools
  • Repair machine tools and parts
  • Perform minor repairs to equipment
  • Inspect sites or facilities to ensure safety and cleanliness standards
  • Assist skilled tradespersons
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience
  • Or equivalent experience
  • Ability to work in an urban area
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing or production environment
  • Ability to lift up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs)
