Job Title: Construction Inspector/Construction Coordinator
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Inspector/Construction Coordinator to support our team in Yellowknife, NT. As a key member of our Critical Infrastructure team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful delivery of construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect construction sites to ensure compliance with specifications and contract requirements.
- Support and enforce EHS standards at site, performing safety audits and inspections.
- Oversee site inspections and enforcement of standards, ensuring quality control plans are followed.
- Coordinate testing requirements with contractors and third-party testing agents.
- Support Project Manager and Construction Superintendent in delivering construction scope, schedule, budget, and quality of work packages.
- Monitor and verify contractor progress and performance, generating daily reports.
- Review contractor daily reports and verify quality control assessments.
- Assist Project Manager and Construction Superintendent with resolving issues related to cost, schedule, or quality.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, geoscience, or related field, or diploma with 3+ years of relevant work experience.
- Ability to understand specifications, quality plans, and perform QA functions.
- Strong conflict resolution skills and ability to monitor contractor adherence to specifications and standards.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proven ability to prepare reports and documentation.
