Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough patient screenings and oral health assessments, including vital sign checks and documentation of patient medical and health history.
  • Take dental impressions and develop X-rays as needed.
  • Perform preventative dental procedures such as teeth cleaning, scaling, gum stimulation, and fluoride and sealant applications.
  • Provide personalized oral care instructions, including strategies for maintaining and improving oral health and the impact of nutrition on oral health.
  • Collaborate with dentists to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • May perform restorative and orthodontic procedures under the direction of a dentist.
  • May supervise dental assistants in their healthcare functions.
  • May participate in community- or school-based oral health initiatives, such as oral screenings.

Requirements:

  • Availability to work one weekend per week.
