Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Export Shipping and Customs Expert to join our team at Kuehne + Nagel AS. As an expert in export shipping and customs, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities for the transportation of goods, including perishable products from port of destination to final consignee.

Your Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinating and monitoring the transportation and movement of goods for export
- Preparing shipping instructions and any other necessary legal documents required for export
- Communicating and coordinating with Sea freight carriers, co-loaders, truckers, customs brokers, and other service providers
- Arranging rush cheque payments and providing COD invoices to CCL for collection
- Working closely with the Customer Care teams and proactively notifying in case of holds, delays, and deviations
- Creating and updating internal account handling instructions (out of scope)
- Performing credit checks and resolving missing credit approvals
- Entering all cost and sell rates as soon as the file is opened and prior to vessel departure to ensure file profitability and on-time billing
- Data management (Link QT quote for each shipment and E-file all required documents)
- Monitoring holds or discrepancies in the movement of goods
- Adhering to established department KPIs to ensure internal/external customer satisfaction
- Arranging for insurance coverage for cargo and gathering claim documents if claims are involved
- Implementing and supporting Pharma Chain products and ensuring that all GXP training is completed and shipments are handled based on GXP requirements and compliance
- Ensuring the temperature accuracy is set for reefer shipments

Requirements:
- High School Degree/Diploma in supply chain management or similar field
- 2+ years of Sea Logistics Exports and Freight Forwarding experience
- Advanced computer skills, including full proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Advanced Excel). Administrative/data entry experience required
- Certified in CIFFA, CITT, or equivalent is preferred
