About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Concrete Finisher to join our team at Melrose Paving Co. As a Concrete Finisher, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality finish on our concrete projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Concrete Finishing: Fill hollows and remove spots on freshly poured cement, operate power vibrators to compact concrete, and level top surface concrete according to grade and depth specification.
  • Surface Preparation: Impart desired finish to concrete surfaces using hand and power tools, install anchor bolts, steel plates, door sills, and other fixtures, and apply hardening and sealing components to cure surfaces.
  • Repair and Maintenance: Repair, resurface, and replace worn or damaged sections of concrete structures, and waterproof, damp proof, and restore surfaces.
Work Environment

As a Concrete Finisher at Melrose Paving Co., you will work in a fast-paced outdoor environment with varying weather conditions. You will be required to wear steel-toed safety boots and a hard hat at all times.

Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in concrete finishing is preferred.
  • Physical Demands: This role is physically demanding and requires bending, crouching, kneeling, and attention to detail.
