Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mobile Crane Operator to join our team at Crane Services. As a Mobile Crane Operator, you will be responsible for operating mobile and tower cranes to lift, move, position or place equipment and materials. You will also be responsible for cleaning and lubricating cranes, instructing apprentices, and performing routine maintenance work.

Work Environment

As a Mobile Crane Operator, you will work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions. You will be exposed to noise, cold, and hot temperatures, and will be required to work in a dusty environment. You will also be required to work at heights and in confined spaces.

Responsibilities
  • Operate mobile and tower cranes to lift, move, position or place equipment and materials
  • Clean and lubricate cranes
  • Instruct apprentices
  • Perform routine maintenance work
Certifications and Licenses
  • Boom Truck Crane Operator Trade Certification
  • Oil Sands Safety Association (OSSA) basic safety orientation (BSO)
  • Mobile Crane Operator Trade Certification
  • Hoisting Licence
  • Mobile Crane Operator Red Seal Certificate
  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
  • Hydrogen Sulphide Awareness (H2S) Certificate
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Confined Space Entry Training
  • Fall Arrest Protection Training Course
  • Construction Safety Training Systems (CSTS) Certificate
  • Air Brake (Z) Endorsement
Requirements
  • 5 years or more of experience as a Mobile Crane Operator
  • Other trades certificate or diploma
  • Ability to work under pressure and in a physically demanding environment
  • Manual dexterity and attention to detail
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
