Medical Writer Senior

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Medical Writer to join our team at Syneos Health. As a key member of our medical writing team, you will be responsible for leading complex writing projects and mentoring less experienced medical writers.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor medical writers on complex projects, ensuring high-quality deliverables and timely completion.
- Develop and manage medical writing activities associated with individual studies, coordinating with cross-functional teams.
- Collaborate with department heads and staff members to produce high-quality writing deliverables.
- Review and edit documents, including clinical study protocols, reports, and submissions, to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Stay up-to-date with current industry practices and regulatory requirements, applying this knowledge to ensure compliance and quality in medical writing projects.
- Manage budgets and timelines for assigned projects, communicating effectively with leadership and stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as English, Communications, or Social Sciences, with relevant writing experience.
- Extensive knowledge of English grammar, FDA and ICH regulations, and guidelines, as well as familiarity with AMA style guide.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to mentor and guide team members.
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with the ability to produce high-quality documents under tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
