About the Role

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Escalation Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for escalations from internal partners and external entities for banking transactions and investigations.
  • Third-Party Transaction Oversight: Review and approve third-party transactions, conduct investigations, and ensure compliance with Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations.
  • AML Compliance: Enforce adherence to AML rules within the team and ensure comprehensive understanding across all members.
  • External Partner Liaison: Act as the primary interface for external partners such as banks, fostering strong relationships and effective communication.
  • Team Development: Drive continuous improvement within the team through training initiatives and provide necessary tools for enhanced performance.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A university degree, Canadian Securities Course (CSC), Conduct and Practices Handbook Course (CPH), Derivatives Fundamental Course (DFC), Options Licensing Course (OLC), Option Supervisor Course, or equivalent.
  • Experience within the financial brokerage industry, especially in a CIRO regulatory environment.
  • Strong use of Microsoft Office programs, especially Excel.
  • Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to operate in a fast-paced environment, including the ability to prioritize.
