About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Construction Labourer and Helper to join our team at Canada Abatement Services. As a key member of our crew, you will play a vital role in ensuring the successful completion of our construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from job sites.
  • Pre-Operational Inspection: Conduct thorough pre-operational inspections to ensure equipment is in good working condition.
  • Blueprint Reading: Read and interpret blueprints to determine work requirements and ensure compliance with project specifications.
  • Formwork and Scaffolding: Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades as required.
  • Mixing and Paving: Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt to meet project specifications.
  • Crane Assembly: Assist in assembling tower cranes on site.
  • Drilling and Blasting: Assist in drilling and blasting rock on construction sites.
  • Framing and Construction: Assist in framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs.
  • Site Preparation: Level earth to fine grade specifications and pave and rake asphalt as required.
  • Demolition: Assist in demolishing buildings and clean and pile salvaged materials.
  • Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance work on equipment and tools.
  • Site Cleanup: Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites.
  • Equipment Operation: Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction.
  • Site Safety: Direct traffic at or near construction sites and ensure a safe working environment.
