Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Equipment Technician Apprentice to join our team at Toromont Cat. As a Heavy Duty Equipment Technician Apprentice, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and inspecting equipment to detect faults and malfunctions, diagnosing faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment, and adjusting equipment and repairing or replacing defective parts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and Inspect Equipment: Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions, and identify the root cause of the issue.
  • Diagnose Faults and Malfunctions: Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine the extent of the repair required.
  • Adjust and Repair Equipment: Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Maintain Reports and Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed reports and documentation of maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and testing.
  • Clean and Maintain Equipment: Clean, lubricate, and perform other maintenance work to ensure equipment is in good working condition.
  • Work in a Safe Environment: Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and procedures.
Requirements
  • Education: Other trades certificate or diploma.
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
