Salary Information
The Physician Clinical Administrative Assistant position offers a competitive hourly rate of $17.70, with additional bonuses based on individual services. Following a 3-Month probationary period, employees are eligible for a Performance Review, which may lead to further training and specialty program opportunities.
Job Description
As a Physician Clinical Administrative Assistant, you will work under the supervision of a physician, acting as a technician and assistant in the exam room. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with healthcare professionals, performing triage, taking patient histories, and conducting limited physical examinations when needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Assist in performing triage, taking patient histories, and conducting limited physical examinations when needed.
- Schedule patient appointments, tests, and procedures, optimizing the clinic's schedule and minimizing patient wait times.
- Coordinate referrals to specialists and follow up on patient care plans.
- Appropriate application of scripts, scenarios, and clinical skills, and usage of EMR.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals. You must also be permanently eligible to work in Canada, have a typing speed of 40WPM for data entry, and be flexible regarding scheduling of shifts and working at multiple clinic locations.
