Job Description

As an occupational therapist at Hillside Centre Adult Psychiatric Centre, you will play a key role in providing services to adults and elderly individuals with acute illness and/or severely dysfunctional behaviors. Your focus will be on diagnosis and stabilization with rehabilitation strategies to promote stabilization and reintegration into the community.

Days of Work: Monday to Friday; 08:00 to 16:00

About the Role

  • You will work closely with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement treatment plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • You will assess patients' functional abilities and provide education and support to help them achieve their goals.
  • You will participate in multidisciplinary rounds and contribute to the development of comprehensive care plans.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • Current registration with the College of Health and Care Professions of British Columbia (CHCPBC).
  • Eligibility for membership in the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists or British Columbia Society of Occupational Therapists.
  • A valid driver's license.
