Job Title: Captain - Air Transport

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Captain - Air Transport to join our team at WestJet Encore Ltd.

Job Summary:

The Captain - Air Transport is responsible for the safe operation of fixed-wing aircraft, ensuring the well-being of passengers and crew members, and adhering to all relevant regulations and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Fly fixed-wing aircraft and ensure the safe operation of the aircraft.
  • Monitor the operation of engine and aircraft systems during flight.
  • Perform post-flight inspections and record equipment malfunctions.
  • Co-ordinate flight activities with ground crews and air-traffic control.
  • Conduct in-flight tests and monitor the functioning of aircraft equipment and systems.
  • Conduct pre-flight inspections of aircraft and check passenger and cargo distribution.
  • Maintain communications with flight dispatchers and weather forecasters.
  • Prepare flight evaluation reports.
Requirements:
  • Commercial Pilot Licence - fixed wing.
  • Airline Pilot Transport Licence - fixed wing.
  • Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Licence.
  • Multi-instrument Flight Rating.
  • 5 years or more of experience.
