Retail Assistant Manager is a key role within the Merchant Of Tennis team. As a member of our retail management group, you will be responsible for assisting in the day-to-day operations of our Oakville store and supporting both the Retail Manager and Racquet Services Manager.
This is an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in customer service, staff training and development, and retail management.
We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual with experience working in a fast-paced retail environment. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Assisting in the management of the day-to-day retail operations of the Oakville store
- Providing excellent customer service and being a role model for staff in this area
- Coaching and training staff in product knowledge and sales techniques
- Collaborating with the Racquet Services Manager to ensure productivity and quality standards are met consistently
- Working closely with the Marketing department on service-related programs and promotions
Requirements
- Experience working in a retail environment with a customer service-oriented approach
- Previous experience leading, coaching, and motivating a team
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on effective communication, conflict management, and resolution
- A passion for tennis that can be easily conveyed to clients and staff
- Experience working with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Publisher, and point of sales systems
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively
