We are seeking a skilled Family Lawyer to join our team at GPAC, a leading search firm specializing in placing quality professionals across various industries.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a caseload, drafting and responding to correspondence, preparing pleadings and trial briefs, and conducting telephone and in-person contact with clients and opposing counsel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage assigned caseload and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Draft and respond to correspondence, including pleadings and trial briefs
  • Conduct telephone and in-person contact with clients, opposing counsel, and the courts
  • Prepare witness questions for evidentiary hearings, depositions, and trials
  • Track billable time and maintain accurate records
  • Assist supervising lawyers in all phases of the practice

Qualifications:

  • Must be admitted to the Ontario Bar
  • 2+ years of experience practicing Family Law
  • Empathetic and level-headed demeanor to handle sensitive family law matters
  • Strong analytical skills, excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail and excellent proofreading skills
