We are seeking a highly skilled Quantitative Analyst to join our portfolio management team in Toronto. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with senior portfolio managers and colleagues in technology, database management, trade support, and operations to develop software tools for designing, implementing, and monitoring quantitative investment strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement software tools to support investment strategy development and portfolio management
  • Optimize software and algorithms for performance and efficiency
  • Enhance quality assurance processes for the team's code base
  • Provide analytical and portfolio management support for various portfolios
  • Collaborate with the team to maintain data architecture and ensure data integrity

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, such as Computer Science, Math, or Engineering
  • Proficiency in coding languages, including object-oriented programming, with experience in MATLAB and Python a plus
  • 1-4 years of working experience, with experience in financial markets an asset but not required
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a meticulous approach to resolving issues
  • Detail-oriented, flexible, and able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Canadian work authorization required
