About the Role

The Facilities Analyst plays a crucial role in supporting various technical and administrative tasks at Northwestel. This includes analyzing cutover sheets, assisting with cable locates, updating records and maps, and coordinating maintenance programs. The successful candidate will provide technical support, manage addressing for provisioning, document business processes, and liaise with engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate fully in our organizational health and safety programs, adhering to all safe work practices and procedures and staying focused on continuous improvement.
  • Timely completion of all administrative tasks, including time reporting, expense reporting, and submission of corporate card statements.
  • Analyze cutover sheets, assist cable splicers, and update records in Optius as required.
  • Update maps via BisCad.
  • Provide information and assist with cable locates, high loads, and airline mileage.
  • Coordinate defective cable maintenance programs and update records in Optius with results.
  • Complete pre-fields for sales.
  • Provide technical support for internal and external customers.
  • Build and manage addressing in Odin/Optius for flow-through provisioning.
  • Identify and document business processes as required.
  • Liaise closely with engineering and assignment teams.
  • Contribute to increasing the focus on quality of experience for Northwestel's internal and external customers.
  • Update and maintain fiber records as provided.

Requirements

  • Minimum two years' experience in telecommunications with knowledge in cable, copper, and fiber plant infrastructure.
  • Project coordination skills and proficiency in record management.
  • Aptitude for investigative and analytical work.
  • Working knowledge of telecommunication networks.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work with strict deadlines in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Strong computer skills in a Windows environment is an asset.
