About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Healthcare Support Worker to join our team at AgeCare Sagewood. As a Healthcare Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Personal Care: Assist residents with bathing, dressing, and grooming, ensuring their personal hygiene and dignity are maintained.
  • Medication Management: Assist with administering medications and maintaining accurate records.
  • Housekeeping and Laundry: Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping and laundry duties.
  • Companionship: Engage with residents through conversation, activities, and outings, promoting social interaction and mental stimulation.
  • Documentation: Accurately record resident information, including medical history, allergies, and preferences.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a long-term care facility.
  • Certifications: Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS), First Aid, CPR, and any other relevant certifications.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
