Job Opportunity

University Hospital of Northern BC is seeking a skilled Anesthesiologist to join our team.

The successful candidate will provide high-quality anesthetic care to patients undergoing various surgical procedures, including general surgery, urology, orthopedic, plastic, and ENT surgeries.

The department works on an Alternative Payment arrangement, and we estimate that a conservative base remuneration for a full-time Anesthetist would be approximately $500,000.

The current expectation for a full-time, 1.0 FTE Anesthetist is 1997 hours per annum.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide anesthetic care to patients undergoing various surgical procedures
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care
  • Participate in departmental quality improvement initiatives
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of departmental policies and procedures

Requirements

  • Current College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia (CPSBC) License
  • Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) membership
  • Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Canada (FRCPC) eligibility
