Join a dynamic team of educators at District School Board Ontario North East as we seek a highly skilled and dedicated Deputy Head of School to lead our schools in the North, Central and South regions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective strategies to support student learning and achievement.
  • Collaborate with teachers and staff to create a positive and inclusive school culture.
  • Provide instructional support and guidance to teachers to improve student outcomes.
  • Build and maintain relationships with parents, community members, and other stakeholders to promote student success.
  • Monitor and evaluate student progress, identifying areas for improvement and developing plans to address them.

Evaluation Criteria:

  • Developing the Organization to Support Desired Practices
  • Building productive relationships with families and the community
  • Create a school environment in which parents are welcomed, respected, and valued as partners in their children's learning
  • Improving the Instructional Program
  • Monitoring progress in student learning and school improvement
  • Assist staff in understanding the importance of student assessment for, of, and as learning

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Education or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in education leadership.
  • Proven track record of improving student outcomes and school performance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and parents.
