Job Title: Driving Instructor

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Driving Instructor to join our team at Universal Driving School.

Job Description:Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct road test examinations and evaluate the driving ability of applicants for driver's licences
  • Give instruction on comportment, personal development, make-up application and modelling techniques for fashion shows and magazine advertising
  • Demonstrate and explain the handling and mechanical operation of motor vehicles
  • Instruct individuals on proper motor vehicle driving skills and traffic regulations
  • Supervise individuals during practice driving
  • Maintain accurate records
Requirements:
  • Provincial Driving Instructor Licence
  • Sitting, attention to detail, hand-eye co-ordination, manual dexterity
  • Accurate, client focus, dependability, efficient interpersonal skills, interpersonal awareness, judgement, reliability
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience an asset

  • Offers mentorship, coaching and/or networking opportunities for Indigenous workers
  • Provides cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers

  • Participates in a government or community program or initiative that supports mature workers
  • Provides staff with awareness training to create a welcoming work environment for mature workers
  • Offers phased retirement options that allow mature workers to gradually reduce their workload
