Responsibilities
  • Operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware, and flatware, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand, adhering to our strict health and safety protocols.
  • Keep accurate records of food quantities used, ensuring efficient inventory management.
  • Package take-out food and prepare, heat, and finish simple food items to meet customer demands.
  • Use manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice, and trim foodstuffs, maintaining a high level of quality and presentation.
  • Clean and sanitize the kitchen, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment, to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
  • Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas, ensuring timely restocking and minimizing waste.
  • Remove kitchen garbage and trash, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors, ensuring a clean and safe environment for our staff and customers.
  • Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruit, preparing them for use in our kitchen.
Work Environment

As a Kitchen Helper at Empress Family Restaurant, you will work in a fast-paced environment with a high level of physical activity. You will be required to stand for extended periods, handle heavy loads, and work under pressure to meet customer demands.
