About the Role

AECOM is seeking a highly skilled Municipal Infrastructure Inspector to join our team. As a key member of our infrastructure project team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and safety of municipal infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Liaise with contractors, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with project specifications.
  • Oversee daily on-site operations and conduct regular inspections to ensure quality and safety standards are met.
  • Work closely with the Project Engineer and Project Manager to ensure construction is in compliance with project specifications.
  • Prepare and maintain daily work logs and other project documentation and reporting.
  • Schedule and conduct regular project meetings with the contractor and client.
  • Provide clarification of drawings and direction to the contractor, with remote support from the Project Engineer.
  • Responsible for monitoring conformance to quality, performance, specifications, and/or code requirements by performing inspection duties.
  • Carry out field inspections and communicate directly with the construction team.
  • Carry out surveys and measurements for quantity calculations.
  • Complete surveys for the preparation of record drawings.
  • Participate in punch lists, testing, and commissioning.
  • Assist with the preparation of the Project Construction Completion and Final Acceptance Certificate.
  • Train entry-level employees.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 6+ years of relevant experience in a field role on water infrastructure projects or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
  • Driving license and access to own vehicle.
