Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as an After School Care Professional at the Archdiocese of San Antonio. As a key member of our extended care program, you will be responsible for providing a safe and engaging environment for students in our care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Care for Students: Ensure the safety and well-being of students in our extended care program, supervising all activities and providing a supportive and inclusive environment.
  • Model Catholic Values: Act as a witness to Gospel values and model the teachings of the Catholic Church in your interactions with students, parents, and staff.
  • Support School Policies: Uphold the policies and procedures of the Archdiocese of San Antonio and the school, including the Religious Standards for Catholic School Employees.
  • Communicate Effectively: Develop positive relationships with students, parents, and staff, communicating effectively and professionally in all interactions.
  • Manage Program Operations: Assist with the daily operations of the extended care program, including preparing materials, supervising activities, and maintaining a clean and safe environment.
  • Collaborate with Staff: Work as part of a team to provide a cohesive and supportive environment for students, participating in staff meetings and site events as requested.
  • Document and Report: Maintain accurate records of student attendance, behavior, and incidents, reporting observations and incidents to the site coordinator or school principal as needed.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent, with relevant experience working with school-age children and/or youth development.
  • License and Credentials: Not required, but preferred.
  • Skills and Qualities: Understand and apply basic child and adolescent development principles, communicate effectively, adapt to changing situations, and demonstrate a positive and professional attitude.
