About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Fund Accountant to join our team in Mississauga, Toronto, or Kitchener. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for maintaining all financial data in our investment database, posting journal entries, and preparing monthly trial balance reports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
  • Reconcile cash received from investors and investments
  • Calculate capital calls and distributions
  • Allocate income to partners in accordance with partnership agreements
  • Prepare and issue monthly/quarterly financial reporting
  • Maintain and update investment data
  • Manage relationships with clients and counterparties

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary degree in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA and/or MBA are strong pluses
  • 2+ years of experience in fund accounting, preferably in the Private Equity field
  • Strong knowledge of Bloomberg, financial reporting, and financial products
  • Proven ability to work as part of a team
  • Excellent client relationship management skills
