We are seeking a highly skilled Carpenter to join our team at Proselect Construction Ltd. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of workmanship in the construction and renovation of residential and commercial properties.
Key Responsibilities- Estimation and Planning: Prepare detailed estimates of labour and material costs for construction projects, taking into account building codes and regulations.
- Site Management: Supervise and coordinate the work of other tradespeople on site, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Carpentry and Maintenance: Perform a range of carpentry tasks, including building foundations, installing floor beams, laying subflooring, and erecting walls and roof systems.
- Quality Control: Ensure that all work meets the highest standards of quality and safety, adhering to company policies and procedures.
- Teamwork: Collaborate with other members of the construction team to achieve project goals and objectives.
- Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year.
- Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Equipment and Machinery: Proficient in the use of hand tools and other equipment, with a strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures.
- Work Environment: At heights, confined spaces, noisy, dusty, and outdoors.
- Physical Demands: Bending, crouching, kneeling, handling heavy loads, and working in a physically demanding environment.
