We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Governance Strategist to join our team at Ledcor Construction, Inc. as a Senior Manager, Data Governance.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be responsible for leading the establishment and implementation of our data governance strategy and policies, procedures, and controls to ensure enterprise data quality, security, and compliance across the organization.
Key Accountabilities- Strategy Development
Develop and implement a comprehensive data governance framework, including policies, procedures, and standards for data management.
Data Security and ComplianceCollaborate with IS security teams to develop and implement new data governance policies to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data assets within the context of data governance.
Governance CommitteeFacilitate and influence senior executives in supporting the implementation of a data governance committee.
Training and AwarenessPromote a culture of data governance and ensuring adoption of data governance policies and procedures.
RequirementsTo be successful in this role, you will need:
- A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Data Science, etc.
- 8+ years of experience in data governance, business intelligence, and data analysis
- Proven experience leading, developing, and implementing data governance frameworks, policies, and procedures.
- Ability to build and foster effective relationships at all levels of the organization and use effective influence strategies.
- Strong leadership skills to lead cross-functional teams and work closely with stakeholders across the organization.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Project Management experience to oversee the implementation of data governance initiatives including managing resources and timelines.
- Proficiency in data management tools and technologies such as data governance platforms, data cataloging tools, metadata management tools, and data quality tools.
- Knowledge of database systems, data warehousing, data lakes, and big data technologies.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools and techniques.
- Proficiency in data modeling, metadata management, and data lineage analysis.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify, quantify, and effectively raise business risks associated with data governance or non-compliance.
- Awareness of data protection regulations and compliance requirements.
