Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Wood Frame Design Manager to join our team at Wood West & Associates Inc.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage work plans for the design team, ensuring projects are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Monitor project progress and internal costs, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as necessary.
  • Foster technical excellence and innovation within the team, staying up-to-date with industry developments and best practices.
  • Act as Engineer of Record (EOR) for small to large-scale projects, overseeing the design and management of new building projects or renovations to existing structures.
  • Conduct site visits to assess conditions and prepare detailed written reports.
  • Provide in-house technical expertise for specific aspects of projects, including structural design, calculations, and analyses of building structures.
Professional Qualifications & Experience

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in structural design, preferably with a consulting firm and a strong background in wood frame design.
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer in BC or ability to readily register.
Estimated Salary Range

$120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
