Job Summary:

The Maintenance Foreperson will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of mine mobile equipment. This includes supervising maintenance personnel, planning and executing maintenance schedules, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise maintenance personnel to ensure safe and efficient operation of equipment
  • Plan and execute maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and maximize production
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, including safety protocols and regulatory requirements
  • Mentor and develop team members to improve performance and skills
  • Develop and implement maintenance strategies to reduce risks and variations
  • Oversee maintenance schedules and repairs for all mining equipment

Requirements:

  • Commitment to working safely and ensuring the safety of team members
  • Technical diploma or degree in Maintenance/Mechanics field
  • Valid Mechanical/Trades Licenses
  • Minimum 10 years of mine maintenance experience, including underground and surface equipment
  • Minimum 5 years in a maintenance supervisory role with experience mentoring and developing teams
  • Experience in conventional and mechanized mining
  • Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP and/or Pronto
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Teams)
  • Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills
  • Ability to work in a cross-cultural environment
