Your Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our professional consulting services team in Regina, SK. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for working on various projects across different sectors and locations in Western Canada.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support a diverse portfolio of projects by ensuring they are delivered on budget and schedule while driving innovation, technical excellence, and quality control and assurance.
  • Evaluate, select, specify, and engineer all mechanical engineered systems or products for a project.
  • Develop design solutions through sketches, electronic models, diagrams, and other visual formats.
  • Prepare, develop, and revise mechanical documentation in various project phases.
  • Lead project coordination meetings with internal team members and external consultants, owners, contractors, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Support the preparation and coordination of project specifications with construction documents.
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to assigned staff and contribute to proposals for diverse types and scales of projects.
  • Oversee multiple projects and work collaboratively to support the Saskatchewan Building Engineering Team.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A thorough understanding of mechanical engineering concepts and the ability to communicate ideas to others.
  • An extensive knowledge of building codes, ASHRAE standards, and industry regulations.
  • Experience designing high-performance and sustainable buildings, including LEED-certified and Net Zero Carbon and Energy buildings.
  • The ability to travel as required for projects.
  • Proficiency in software such as Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Integrated Environmental Solutions (IES), and Adobe Acrobat.
