Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Route Planning and Optimization

Plan and adjust routes based on changing conditions, utilizing computer equipment, GPS systems, and other navigation devices to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions.

Cargo Handling and Safety

Oversee the condition of the vehicle, inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment to ensure safe transportation of goods.

Customer Service and Communication

Provide exceptional customer service, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a professional manner.

Documentation and Record-Keeping

Accurately record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption, maintaining a detailed driver logbook and inspection reports.

Transportation and Travel

Hold a valid driver's license, willing to travel for extended periods, and overnight, as required.

Requirements
  • Education and Experience

Secondary (high) school graduation certificate, with a willingness to train and develop skills.

Language and Communication

Proficient in English, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Work Schedule and Availability

Available to work 35 to 44 hours per week, with flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and routes.
