Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our warehouse operations, you will be responsible for moving materials within the warehouse and loading/unloading materials onto or from vehicles manually and utilizing material handling equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Follow standard warehouse practices and work instructions to maintain high levels of inventory and location accuracy;
  • Accurately complete routine documentation, such as pick sheets, manifests, and unload lists;
  • Perform physically demanding duties according to standard work instructions, such as manually loading and unloading goods;
  • Demonstrate accuracy and efficiency in executing standard warehousing processes like receiving, picking, packing, shipping, checking, and loading customer orders and products;
  • Participate in process-specific training and adhere to all work instructions and guidelines established by Kuehne-Nagel to comply with regulatory standards;
  • Demonstrate and maintain a skill set capable of operating various equipment used in a traditional warehouse environment, including scanners, computers, scales, pallet jacks, and motorized material handling equipment;
  • Demonstrate and maintain professional interpersonal skills when dealing with internal and external personnel;
  • Follow all company safety, security, and housekeeping protocols, respecting customers, company property, and equipment;
  • Be proactive in accident and incident prevention, completing applicable reports promptly and accurately when required.
Work Schedule & Compensation

The successful candidate can expect to work various shifts, including days, nights, and weekends. The estimated annual salary for this role is $45,000 - $55,000 CAD, based on experience and qualifications. Premiums apply for night shifts, and a top-up payment is provided for weekend shifts.

Requirements & Qualifications

To be considered for this position, you must have a minimum of 2+ years of experience working in a warehouse or distribution centre environment, preferably with pharmaceutical experience. Certification in operating material handling equipment is also required. You should be able to lift up to 50lbs (repetitive) and possess excellent communication skills in English (verbal and written). A proven ability to work well independently and as part of a team is essential, as well as the capacity to work in a fast-paced environment with time-sensitive deadlines. Strong attention to detail and safety regulations are also necessary.
