**Job Title:** Care Specialist for Geriatric and Family Medicine
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Care Specialist to join our team at Extended Care Specialists INC. As a Care Specialist, you will be responsible for providing primary care services to residents in skilled nursing and assisted living facilities.
Responsibilities:
- Provide primary-care services in accordance with site-specific protocols and consistent with the standard of care for family medicine, geriatric medicine, and internal medicine.
- Review and sign medication administration records (MARs), orders, lab results, and other relevant documents within 24 hours.
- Manage narcotic prescriptions and provide adequate time for paperwork administrative duties during visits.
- Complete documentation and submit billing records according to published policies.
- Maintain open and positive communications with facility staff and administration.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or equivalent required; Master's degree preferred.
- Current and valid license to practice medicine issued by the state in which you reside.
- National certification examination of the National Commission on Accreditation of Allied Education Programs for Physician Assistants.
