About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Painter to join our team at Problue Contractors Ltd. As a Painter, you will be responsible for preparing, cleaning, and sanding surfaces to be painted, repairing cracks and holes, mixing paint to the desired color and texture, and applying paint, wallpaper, and other materials to interior and exterior surfaces.

Key Responsibilities
  • Surface Preparation: Prepare, clean, and sand surfaces to be painted, ensuring a smooth and even finish.
  • Repair and Maintenance: Repair cracks and holes in surfaces, and perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure the longevity of our projects.
  • Painting and Finishing: Mix paint to the desired color and texture, and apply paint, wallpaper, and other materials to interior and exterior surfaces, ensuring a high-quality finish.
  • Customer Service: Advise consumers on colors and choice of wall coverings, providing expert advice and guidance to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Health and Safety: Erect scaffolding and swing stages, and attach rigging, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and others.
Requirements
  • Experience: Experience in painting and decorating is an asset, but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate.
  • Language: Fluency in English is required, as you will be working with English-speaking clients and colleagues.
  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week, with flexibility to work overtime as needed.
