Job Opportunity

MNP is a leading national accounting, tax, and business advisory firm in Canada. We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our International Corporate Tax team.

About the Role

As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for conducting international corporate tax engagements, providing advice on tax planning opportunities, and delivering industry and technical expertise to clients. You will also assist organizations in determining the most effective corporate structure from a tax perspective and assist clients in choosing effective methods of capitalization and financing.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct international corporate tax engagements and provide advice on tax planning opportunities
  • Deliver industry and technical expertise to clients through client interactions, reports, and technical work
  • Assist organizations in determining the most effective corporate structure from a tax perspective
  • Assist clients in choosing effective methods of capitalization and financing
  • Research client issues and provide solutions
  • Think strategically about client needs and identify ways to maximize client relationships
  • Collaborate with client engagement teams and lead engagement teams as needed
  • Contribute to the development of new ideas and approaches to improve work processes
  • Participate in business development initiatives and identify new business opportunities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in commerce or business administration (accounting or finance major preferred)
  • Completion of, or working towards, a CPA designation
  • 2 to 4 years of relevant public accounting or tax experience
  • Experience working within U.S. or international personal, partnership, trust, and corporate tax within public practice is considered an asset
  • Experience working with accounting and tax software
