Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Youth Program Development Lead to join our team at St John. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing programs that promote healthy lifestyles, build strong communities, and support the growth and development of young people.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about working with young people and making a positive impact on their lives. You will be responsible for mentoring, developing, and leading a team of Area Youth Managers and District Youth Support Officers, as well as working collaboratively with other regional stakeholders to achieve shared goals.

  • Assist the Regional Youth Manager to meet requirements within the Youth Business Plan.
  • Manage the District to contribute to and deliver on the IBP and Youth Strategy objectives.
  • Oversee the delivery of District Level events in conjunction with District Youth Support and the wider district youth leadership team.
  • Encourage and promote Division involvement in both District and Regional level events.
  • Manage District budgets in line with guidelines and provide support to Area / Divisions to develop and manage budgets when required.
  • Support and manage district recruitment through the organisation of events, and completion of recruitment processes.
  • Promote the youth program to increase youth and adult membership.
Qualifications and Skills

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Prior experience in a leadership/management role developing others.
  • A real team player with a keen interest in working with young people.
  • An aptitude for working with a diverse demographic group (e.g. age, culture, background).
  • Exceptional organisational and time management skills.
  • A proven ability to build and maintain strong internal and external relationships.
  • Customer-focused with exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to think creatively and work outside the square.
  • Able to commit to at least 10 hours per week to the role and attend overnight camps and competitions from time to time.
Estimated Salary Range

The estimated salary range for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
