Calgary, Alberta, Canada Golderado Contracting Corp Full time

We're seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team at Golderado Contracting Corp. As an Undergrounds Specialist, you'll play a critical role in our construction projects, operating heavy machinery and ensuring the safe and efficient execution of tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain heavy equipment, including excavators, dozers, loaders, graders, and skid steers.
  • Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment and secure special attachments.
  • Communicate effectively with team members using two-way radios and other communication equipment.
  • Perform minor repairs to equipment and execute high-volume production.
  • Fine grade and finish surfaces to meet project specifications.
  • Assist other operators, laborers, and trades as needed.
  • Perform daily safety and maintenance checks on equipment.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a heavy equipment operator.
  • 2-3 years of undergrounds experience required.
  • CSTS, WHMIS, and Ground Disturbance Level 2 certifications required.
  • Ability to identify problem situations, evaluate alternative causes, and produce workable solutions.
  • Reliable means of transportation and a valid driver's abstract required.
  • Proficient English language skills required.

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent required.
