Job Title: Pharmacist

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacist to join our team at Evergreen Co-op. As a Pharmacist, you will play a vital role in providing patient-focused services, including injections, medication reviews, and minor ailment prescribing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide professional advice, counseling, and expertise to patients regarding prescription and over-the-counter medications, medical conditions, and overall health.
  • Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of policies and procedures that comply with Federal and Provincial legislation, regulations, bylaws, and accrediting body standards.
  • Ensure all medication dispensing processes are accurate and appropriately managed while focusing on timely delivery, reporting, invoicing, ordering, and communication.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with healthcare professionals in the community to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals on a regular basis to identify and resolve drug therapy problems.
  • Provide clinical services as outlined by Provincial regulatory bodies.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to Pharmacy Technicians and Assistants.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (or a Doctorate in Pharmacy) from a recognized institution.
  • Pharmacy experience is an asset.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills are required.
  • Injection certification and current licensure and good standing with relevant provincial College of Pharmacists is required.
  • APA is preferred but not required.
