Competitive Hourly Rate and Opportunities

Enjoy a competitive hourly rate of $21.61, with a night shift premium and additional incentives upon hire. As a contract packing specialist, you'll be working a 12-hour rotating continental shift.

Responsibilities and Requirements

Your key responsibilities will include:

  1. Packing vinyl products as they become available from one extrusion/injection line as per specifications manual.
  2. Recognizing, removing, and/or reporting defective product and equipment.
  3. Preparing packaging for shipment and transportation.
  4. Maintaining piece counts and ensuring correct number of completed cartons are stacked for crating.
  5. Ensuring proper closure of carton and transport of carton to adjacent bed or skid.
  6. Keeping working area free of scrap and maintaining workplace safety.
  7. Monitoring cartons and end caps for correct size and reporting discrepancies to Shift Supervisor.
  8. Participating in mid and year-end inventory count if required.
  9. Complying with all company policies and procedures, including health and safety, as applicable.
  10. Performing other duties as required by Shift Supervisor.

Education and Experience

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  1. The ability to work 12-hour continental shifts.
  2. Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.
  3. Previous manufacturing experience is an asset but not a requirement.
  4. Good communication skills.
  5. Ability to perform basic mathematical functions.
  6. Team player with strong interpersonal skills.
  7. A good working knowledge of the packing process.
  8. Comfort using air-operated equipment and ability to lift production.
